At Kajiyama, our mission is to is to elevate ramen by giving people the freedom to build their perfect bowl, blending authentic Japanese-inspired flavors with the creativity, convenience, and individuality of modern dining.
Since the beginning of ramen’s popularity as a global dish, customization has been an essential part. Part of the reason “build your own” restaurants are so popular is because they are fast and convenient without sacrificing individuality. Customizable meals give consumers the power to modify ingredients, portion sizes, and flavors to match their personal preferences and dietary needs.
One of our team’s goals was to include our connection to Boulder in the brand. We want to stay true to our roots, no matter where we are. Kajiyama is for everyone: the picky eaters, the ramen connoisseurs, and the corporate lunch break. Combining authentic ramen ingredients and flexibility is the core of our brand.
We chose the name Kajiyama because when talking about a fire that is out of control, the word “kaji” (火事) is used. 'Yama', written as 山 in Japanese means mountain. In Japanese culture, mountains often hold spiritual significance and are associated with nature and tranquility. The word can also be used metaphorically to describe a large pile or a challenging task, such as 'a mountain of work'
Together, these two words symbolize our group’s ambition and connection to Colorado.
